Happy Halloween!

Do you like Graham's costume?  We tried to come up with a really cute costume for him, one that would be clever, and this is what we came up with.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the fabric, and it was a dream.  An. Absolute. Dream.  I plan on using it to cut much more fabric in the future.  The possibilities are endless.  : )  But back to the costume...

Graham didn't really mind wearing it...

But he wasn't too crazy about the hat.  Hat off.

But he wasn't super happy about being pinned down so we could color his nose and put on his hat.  He was only sad for a few minutes then he was better.

Our ward did its annual Trunk or Treat.

And then tonight we took Graham out to a few houses.

"Yeah, candy!"

"Yes!"

 

After we had Graham changed out of his costume, Matt gave Graham a piece of candy.  

And in lightening speed, it was gone.  I think he liked it.  Then he got new clothes again.  : )

getting ready for Halloween

Friday night we carved a pumpkin!  Can you tell what it is?  I'll give you a clue...   "Na na na na, na na na na, Elmo's World."  It's pretty cute, right?

Graham chose out the pattern (okay, not really), and Matt cut most of it out.  He did a really good job.  

Graham helped clean out the pumpkin, but it was gross!

But he liked it when it was all carved.

Then Graham helped us put it outside and light the candle.

Halloween books

Graham got some really cute books from his Grandmas for Halloween!  We love books.  Especially books for Holidays.  We were excited to get packages in the mail, especially when we weren't expecting them!  Thanks Grandmas!

Arizona State Fair

Earlier this month the Arizona State Fair had $1 admissions for opening day so we decided we'd go see what the fair had in store for us.  If greasy, fried foods is what you were looking for, you wouldn't be disappointed.  If large, prize vegetables and hand-sewn handicrafts is what you were looking for, you would be very disappointed.

The fair was rather entertaining, and there were tons of people there.  It was, however, mostly food vendors and carnival games.  There were a few buildings with animals, but not near as many as my dear Idaho State Fair.  I love that fair.  It's great.  I love the agriculture buildings and all the things fairs are supposed to have, and when I saw that the Arizona fair only had one table of vegetables, I was very sad.  : (  But we did get to see lots of very interesting people, and Graham got to see a few animals.

Matt and Graham got to pet some animals.  Graham was a little hesitant at first, but he did pet a few.  (And pardon the butt-shot of this animal.  Sorry, little goat.)

laundry

We're trying to train Graham to fold our laundry.  To say that Matt and I hate folding laundry is an understatement.  We loathe it.  We'll leave it in the basket and trip over it as it blocks our path to the back door until it's time to wash laundry again.  We eventually get around to it, but it usually ends up being a team effort because neither of us want to do it on our own.  Maybe Graham will learn soon.

Not likely.  He'd just get stuck in the basket.
