around the house

And now for a collection of phone pictures from January and February.

Nice bed head, Mason.

This is an interesting place to nap.

Late night cereal.  Graham had long since gone to bed.

I sold all our bedroom furniture and subjected poor Matt to put together a room-full of Ikea furniture.

Graham is a ham.  He's always posing for the camera, and some of his poses are silly.

Of all the things you're supposed to put away when you're done with them, I don't think apples qualify.

Mason's car rolled under the cabinet one day, so he moved it.  By himself.  Incredible baby strength.

Happy Valentines Day

Valentine's day must not be too exciting around here because all I ever end up with is a single picture of Valentine's breakfast.  I think this is the third year in a row of me only getting a picture of a sugary breakfast.  Ha.  But Matt made a doughnut run on Valentine's and the kids loved it.  And many thanks to our families who sent the kids such fun Valentines.  We love you!

all about Elsie

Elsie turns 9 months old this month.  I don't know where the time has gone.  Our little Elsie girl is growing up way too fast.  She's as cute as can be and so very sweet.  She's quite easy-going and is always happy.  She's really just a good-time girl.

sledding

To really take advantage of the snow, we had to go sledding with the Serafines when we were back in Utah.  We found a good hill and bundled the kids up.  The kids were pretty brave, even after Graham and Gary took a spill.  Poor Gary took the brunt of the spill, trying to protect Graham from hitting the snow too hard.

ski day

Our second snow day took place at Kelly Canyon.  Kelly's is a ski hill not far from our house, but because of its location, it isn't always open.  Sometimes, if it gets too warm, the snow will all melt and the hill will close.  Lucky for us, it snowed all day Christmas day so the hill was just right.  It's no Olympic-quality hill, but it is perfect for taking little boys skiing for the first time.  : )  The boys did really great, and had great attitudes about the whole thing--especially Graham.  It was quite cold, but it was a really fun day.

snow machines

The boys were sooo excited to see the snow this year.  They always talk about having a snow day.  Sadly, it never snows where we live, and so the only exposure they have had to snow has been limited to a few days a few times a year.  Regardless, they were so happy to play in the snow and have a few snow days in Idaho Falls.  The day after Christmas my dad and Matt brought out the snow machines.  The boys were a little leery of getting on them, because they were afraid of going too fast--at first.  Once they got to go for a little ride up and down the street they were loving it.  Unfortunatley, they boys weren't going to get to go up to the mountains with my dad and Matt, but they were able to ride up and down the street, which is perfectly normal in Idaho.  : )  I remember when I was in high school, there were days when it was super snowy and people would ride four-wheelers and snow machines to school--at least the parents would take the kids on them.  It really only happened a few times, but nobody would think twice about it.
