Christmas Eve

We had a nice Christmas Eve at home this year.  We started our evening program by letting the kids open their new pjs, then read the nativity together.  We had little "costumes" for the kids that consisted of towels and headbands.  With only three to act out the nativity, the shepherd boys also got to be wise men.  But Elsie was thrilled to be Mary and carry her baby around.  We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and the kids set out their cookies for Santa.  Graham was especially proud of his cookies this year and the amount of red sprinkles he put on them.  He was just sure Santa would tell Mrs. Claus about them and comment on how "sparkly" they were.  I've never seen so many sprinkles on cookies before.  : )

other December goodies

Cute hat, Elsie.

Graham reading (aka reciting) stories to everyone.

Elsie and the Charlie Brown tree.

They were plotting something here.  Coming up with a "plan."

Fall/winter leaves.

Elsie was excited about sharing Graham's bed.  Graham, not so much.

Mason was having a hard day, and during a time-out, fell asleep on the floor.

And Elsie fell asleep during lunch.

Elsie's hair is finally long enough to put in little piggies, but I had to sneak a picture during church before they were ruined in nursery.

Elsie couldn't be happier lounging, playing with my phone.  Silly girl.  She thinks she has to have it all the time.  Sorry, Elsie.  She's still awfully cute, though.

Christmas Prep 2015

We had a lot of fun getting ready for Christmas this year.  The kids were excited for every little activity, and loved it all.  We made some chocolate covered pretzels, gingerbread houses, saw the neighborhood lights, watched some Christmas movies, and visited Santa.  It was a very fun season!
