Hawaii

Rather than loading up our pictures one by one, it was faster to load them this way, since there are so many of them. Enjoy! Some of the pictures have captions, some do not. Also, we've included a sample of some of the Hawaiian tunes we enjoyed.

Today we are grateful for our frequent flyer miles with Delta. We booked our tickets to Hawaii, and we got a load of cash off them because of our miles. Thank you, Delta. Cheap flights, cheap lodging (thanks, Grandpa Serafine!) is making for a great trip!

But when I reserved our seats, we are flying in the front of the plane. Because when this happens:

we want to be in the front so we end up with Jack

and not risk our chance of getting captured by these guys.

Our stake hosted a Emergency Preparedness Fair. The person in charge asked Matt to have a booth. He focues on AED and CCC. He even rented CPR dummies from his school to show people how to do continuous chest compressions. I think everyone liked it.

spring break part 2

During my week off, I spent most of the days with Brooke and Jackson. We did some pretty fun stuff.

We made some wheat bread. We are aspiring to be like our friend Christy Dalling who makes all their bread.

We went to the Phoenix Science Center. Brooke got some free tickets at the public library.

While in Phoenix we found this strange church that was broadcasting their mass into the streets. We could hear someone speaking and people singing all the way down the street. Pretty funny.

The Phoenix convention center takes up two sides of the street so they built a bridge to get from one side to the other.

And for all you Lost fans, we saw this awesome Dharma scooter. If I had a scooter it would be a Dharma scooter. Awesome.

Since Matt and I had different spring breaks, it was almost like I had two spring breaks. During Matt's spring break, I took a few days off and we enjoyed the many sporting options we have here in AZ. Matt bought me basketball tickets for Christmas, and our game was this week. We had great tickets and the game was a blast! We found that we were the only ones cheering for the Jazz in our area, probably because we were sitting in season ticket territory. Too bad, Suns, for losing.

This is the closest we could get to Jerry Sloan. We tried to get one of him doing an interview, but he got up right as we tried to snap the picture.

recent renovations

Matt's spring break was last week, and he kept himself busy by finishing up the last few projects in our house! He worked really hard and now it looks so good!
